Abstract: The Chinese civilization is a splendid creation of the Chinese nation,the only one that has never been interrupted among the original civilizations.It is characterized by a well-developed root system,multi-source convergence,diverse integration,openness,and inclusiveness.The historical consciousness of ‘taking history as a teacher” and “taking history as a mirror”,the new cultural atmosphere caused by the convergence and cohesion of ethnic groups,and the establishment of a “self-discipline” culture tradition focusing on “self-cultivation” and “self-improvement” have continuously nourished the connotation of Chinese civilization.The creation based on long-term practice and the inventions through arduous exploration are not only the manifestation of the brilliant achievements of the Chinese civilization but also the major contribution of the Chinese civilization to mankind,playing an extremely important role in promoting the progress of the world civilization.
