Abstract: Adorno's non-identity philosophy penetrates through his aesthetic theory criticizing the reificationalized reality. Breaking through the idealistic Aesthetics and examining the truth content of artworks, Adorno focuses on the relationship between the truth content and philosophy, identity and non-identity, and shows that the truth content of artworks is in contrast to the metaphysical truth pursued by philosophical epistemology. Meanwhile, Adorno criticizes the immediacy of commitment in art. He insists that art should be able to intervene in society relatively independently through mimesis, which is the premise for artworks to obtain truth content. With the help of aesthetic form, Adorno reflects about the possibility of artworks overcoming reified reality. At the same time, he endows them with an emanicipatory intent on the basis of the nonidentical relation between art and society.
